Elizabeth Kirwin comes to HSPS most recently from the Colorado Springs area and National Mill Dog Rescue. She has over 18 years of professional animal welfare leadership, having left an earlier career in marketing and organizational development to start her own animal rescue organization, Sadie’s Rescue. She has a deep knowledge of quality shelter and program management as well as many years in animal welfare senior level leadership. Elizabeth enjoys collaborating with her teams and communities to bring the highest standard of care for homeless and neglected shelter pets and the necessary services to the people who love and care for their pets.
Having run the Animal Resource Center Shelter at Second Chance in Ridgway, CO for over 8 years, Elizabeth is excited to be back on the Western Slope where she and her 7-year-old pup Dash, can once again enjoy mountain outdoor activities while contributing to our wonderful Pagosa Springs community.
