Mother’s Aid
This program provides a Fix-It-Free voucher to a pet owner with a female dog or cat that has recently had a litter so she can be spayed. HSPS encourages Mother’s Aid recipients to surrender the litter to the shelter where the offspring will be socialized and well-cared for until an adoptive home is found.
Feral Cat Vouchers
Any income, no limit. Cat must be feral when taken to the vet in a trap to qualify. An ear will be tipped, the cat given Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations as well as spayed/neutered, and then they can be safely released back on your property.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)
Feral cats and stray domestic cats contribute significantly to unwanted litters of kittens each year. Our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program is a humane method of managing and limiting the growth of the free-roaming cat population (feral and stray domestic cats) through live-trapping and sterilization. Once sterilized, the feral cat is examined, vaccinated, and returned to its original location and cat colony.
