The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs is looking for community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors and help guide the next chapter of our organization. The Board of Directors serves in an advisory role to the leadership of the Humane Society.
We are at an exciting point to steer our future. As we move forward with our strategic plan, we are looking closely at what the HSPS needs to become over the next five years, and how we can continue to grow and adapt to best serve the animals and people of our community.
Board members have the opportunity to bring their ideas, experience, perspective, and connections to the table as we explore important questions about our future.
Board service is an opportunity to get involved in a way that is meaningful, collaborative and fun. You don’t need animal welfare experience, just a love for those for dogs and cats who can’t speak for or care for themselves.
You will meet and interact with the many talented individuals who are employed by the Humane Society. You will also meet many members of the community as you participate in the fundraising events and experience the joy of knowing how much your service contributes to the financial sustainability of the Humane Society.
We are looking for people from a variety of backgrounds with diverse expertise, who care about our community, enjoy working with others, and want to help shape what the HSPS will look like five years from now.
